Summer is almost here which means the beach will be opening soon! The tentative date for the beach opening (pending hydro raking) is Tuesday, June 17th . The hours of the beach will be 10:00am to 6:00pm daily. Only Chelsea Cove residents with valid beach passes will be permitted. Please understand, hydro raking of the swim area must be done first before the beach can open
but the permit from the Department of Environmental Conservation does not allow hydro raking to be done until June 15th each year. This is why the beach cannot open Memorial Day
weekend like pools do. Since June 15th falls on a Sunday this year, the hydro raking company will not rake until Monday, June 16th. As a result, the beach will not open until Tuesday, June 17th. If anything changes with the date of the hydro raking or the beach opening, we will be sure to let everyone know.
Next week and the week of June 9th we will be distributing 2025 beach pass stickers. For those who need beach passes (if you lost your passes) you can pick those up too.
If you need a replacement beach pass, or you are new owner and did not receive yours at closing please contact us ahead of time so we can have your pass/passes ready when you arrive. Replacement passes are $50.00 each unless arrangements have already been made with our office. Please note, the beach is a CCHOA amenity; therefore, beach passes and 2025 stickers will only be distributed to units with accounts in good standing with CCHOA. If you haven’t already activated your homeowner portal, please do so, so you can view your balance and make a payment if necessary.
We will also accept payments during beach pass sticker distribution for your convenience, however, interest has already been charged to past due accounts. To give everyone the opportunity to pick up their stickers and/or passes we will be at the beach road entrance located on the South Side on the following dates:
Tuesday, May 27th (3:00pm – 5:00pm)
Wednesday, May 28th (4:30pm-6:30pm)
Friday, May 30th (5:00pm-7:00pm)
Monday, June 9th (1:00pm – 3:00pm)
Wednesday, June 11th (5:00pm – 7:00pm)
Friday, June 13th (5:00pm – 7:00pm)
Wednesday, June 11th (5:00pm – 7:00pm)
Friday, June 13th (5:00pm – 7:00pm)
Please bring your beach passes with you in order to receive the 2025 sticker. Again, if you need new beach passes this year, please contact us ahead of time so we can have them ready.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions and have a great Memorial Day weekend.
